Supporting Statistical Promotion, BPS Jateng Equips Undip Statistical Agents with Videography Skills

SEMARANG, jateng.bps.go.id - BPS of Central Java Province continues to demonstrate its commitment to enhancing statistical education and promotion among academics through the Statistical Corner (Pojok Statistik) program. As part of this commitment, BPS of Central Java Province organized a Capacity Building Program for Undip Statistical Agents on Thursday, 11 December 2025. The event, held at the 5th Floor Hall of BPS Central Java Province, was officially opened by Iman Teguh Raharto, Head of the Sectoral Statistics Working Team.

This capacity-building activity carried the theme “Creative Statistical Agents: Presenting Data through Videography.” Iman emphasized that videography plays a crucial role in simplifying complex information, capturing attention more effectively, and increasing engagement, making it an appropriate medium for statistical education and promotion. The event was also attended by Miftahul Jannah, a lecturer from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Diponegoro University (Undip).

The statistical agents enthusiastically followed the engaging sessions delivered by two speakers, Dwi Agus Wahyu Riyadi and Minanur Rohman. Dwi Agus shared practical tips on how to make digital content stop the scroll of netizens, while Minanur presented best practices in producing statistical promotional videos. Both speakers and the statistical agents actively participated in lively discussions on current videography trends.
