SEMARANG, jateng.bps.go.id -To strengthen synergy and collaboration to develop the Jawa Tengah economy, the Jawa Tengah Representative Office of the Ministry of Finance (Kanwil Kemenkeu) held the August 2025 Regional Economic Forum (FER) Meeting. The event took place at the State Finance Building II (GKN II) in Jawa Tengah on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
The event was opened by the Regional Secretary of Jawa Tengah Province, Sumarno. In his remarks, Sumarno expressed his appreciation for the event as a forum for coordination between vertical and regional agencies, emphasizing the importance of fiscal roles through the State Budget (APBN) and Regional Budgets (APBD). Sumarno also emphasized the importance of encouraging increased Regional Original Income (PAD) through investment, rather than consumption, for more sustainable growth.
The Acting Head of the Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of Jawa Tengah Province, Endang Tri Wahyuningsih, also attended the event. Endang stated that the drivers of Jawa Tengah Province's second-quarter 2025 economic growth of 5.28% year-on-year (y-o-y) included growth in the manufacturing sector (y-o-y) of 4.47%, the construction sector (y-o-y) of 8.90% (in terms of business sectors), as well as growth in household consumption expenditure (y-o-y) of 4.76%, and growth in PMTB/Investment (y-o-y) of 8.65% (in terms of expenditure). Endang also emphasized that the indicators released by the Statistics Indonesia (BPS) support the National Strategic Program, particularly in Jawa Tengah Province.
Also present at the event were members of the Jawa Tengah Regional Economic Forum, including the Head of the DJPb Regional Office of Jawa Tengah, the Head of the DJP Regional Office of Jawa Tengah I, the Head of the DJP Regional Office of Jawa Tengah II, the Head of the DJBC Regional Office of Jawa Tengah and DIY, the Head of the DJKN Regional Office of Jawa Tengah, the Head of the BPKP Representative Office of Jawa Tengah, the Head of the Jawa Tengah Economic Bureau, the Deputy Head of the Bank Indonesia Representative Office of Jawa Tengah, the Local Expert of the Ministry of Finance of Jawa Tengah, the Head of the KPTIK BMN Semarang, and the Head of the OJK of Jawa Tengah Province.
