Statistics for Humanity

June 28, 2025 | Other Activities

SEMARANG, jateng.bps.go.id - Deputy Head of BPS, Sonny Harry B Harmadi, had the opportunity to visit and provide direction at the Central Java Province BPS on Saturday, June 28, 2025. The event, which was packaged with the title Bersuma Pak Waka, took place in the 5th Floor Hall and was attended by employees of the Central Java Province BPS and the Heads of BPS in surrounding districts/cities.

The event began with remarks from the Acting Head of the Central Java Province BPS, Endang Tri Wahyuningsih. Endang expressed her gratitude to all employees of the Central Java Province BPS who had been willing to attend during their vacation time.

In the direction of the Deputy Head of BPS, Sonny conveyed about Statistics for Humanity. Statistics are basically for humanity. For example, the one child policy in China has a major impact on humanity, namely 2 parents are replaced by only 1 child. The population will clearly be reduced by half. This can cause a drastic decrease in population. Statistical data is useful for policy makers, so statistics should not just be numbers, but must be able to be interpreted in policy making. Work for worship, our worship is for humanity.
