Collaboration and Synergy for Better Transportation Data

SEMARANG, jateng.bps.go.id - Every month, the Jawa Tengah Province BPS releases several strategic indicators, one of which is transportation performance. This includes land transportation, sea transportation and air transportation. Rail transportation is the highest contributor to economic growth in the transportation category, which is 13.03% in 2024. Where, its contribution to the economy continues to increase over time.

The Head of the Jawa Tengah Province BPS, Endang Tri Wahyuningsih, held an audience with PT. KAI DAOP 4 Semarang on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. Taking place in the meeting room of PT. KAI DAOP 4 Semarang, Endang was received directly by the Executive Vice President of DAOP 4 Semarang, Daniel Johannes Hutabarat. In this audience, it was discussed how important KAI data is for calculating several strategic indicators, such as inflation and economic growth.

Through this audience, it is hoped that it can increase collaboration and synergy in providing sectoral data, especially rail transportation data. In addition, this audience is expected to pave the way for collaboration with DAOP 3, 5 and 6 in providing better sectoral data.
