Jawa Tengah Inflation 0.19 percent in October 2024

SEMARANG, jateng.bps.go.id - Jawa Tengah Province BPS is holding a Strategic Indicator Release on Friday, November 1 2024. The data released includes developments in the Consumer Price Index, Farmer Exchange Rates, Tourism, Transportation, Harvest Area and rice and corn production.

 The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate for Jawa Tengah Province in October 2024 was 0.19%. The highest inflation occurred in Tegal City at 2.02 percent. The Jawa tengah Farmer Exchange Rate in September 2024 was 113.79 or down 0.01% compared to the previous month's NTP of 113.80.

Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star hotels is 47.66% and non-star hotels are 23.04%. Meanwhile, the number of trips made by Indonesian tourists in January-September 2024 to Jawa Tengah reached 112.09 million trips.

The number of air transport passenger arrivals in September 2024 will be 123,191 people. The number of sea transport passenger arrivals in September 2024 was recorded at 31,403 people.

In 2024, the rice harvest area is estimated to be 1.55 million hectares with rice production of around 8.83 million tonnes of milled dry grain (GKG). If converted into rice for food consumption by the population, rice production in 2024 is estimated at 5.08 million tons (preliminary figure).

In 2024, the harvested area for shelled corn is estimated at 0.44 million hectares. Production of dry shelled corn with a moisture content of 14% in 2024 will be 2.59 million tons (preliminary figure).

The release of the Strategic Indicators for Jawa Tengah Province was delivered by the Head of BPS for Jawa Tengah Province, Endang Tri Wahyuningsih and attended by the Regional Secretary of Jawa Tengah Province, Sumarno along with representatives of BI, OJK, services/agencies and the media.
