Central Java Human Development Continues to Show Improvement
This is reflected in the Human Development Index (HDI) released by BPS in Central Java Province on April 15, 2019, experiencing an upward trend since 2010. Central Java HDI in 2018 was in the position of 71.12 on a scale of 0-100, the level rose by 0.6 point or (0.85%) from the 2017 position.
The higher index indicates improvement in human development, the lower the index indicates decline. HDI above 70 indicates that Central Java's human development is in the high category.
Improvements in Central Java's human development can be seen from several indicators, namely newborn babies in 2018 have a life expectancy of up to 74.18 years, 0.10 years longer than the previous year.
Then, children who are 7 years old in 2018 have the hope to be able to enjoy education for 12.63 years (up to the D-level), or 0.06 years older than 2017.
Then, the population aged 25 years on average has been educated for 7.35 years (up to class VIII), 0.08 years longer than the previous year.
And the expenditure per capita of the people of Central Java increased by Rp 400 thousand compared to 2017, to Rp 10,777 million / year.
All indicators of the formation of HDI showed an increase. Efforts to improve human development have been intensified.
